The Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on October 29, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. to solicit comments on the HHA’s Annual Plan amendments establishing site-based waiting lists at its newly acquired and revitalized public housing properties, potential application for HOPE VI at the Brookside public housing community and use of ARRA stimulus funds. The publication of the draft Plan will commence a 45-day comment period. 

Immediately following, the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to solicit comments on the HHA’s Annual and Five Year Plans for FY 2010-14. The publication of the draft Plans will commence a 45-day comment period. 

Written comments may be submitted to the Housing Authority at any time leading up to the October 29 public hearing. Interested persons are also invited to attend the public hearing at Oscar Mason Center where additional comments may be shared. Copies of the Plan are available for review at 200 Washington Street during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Plan is also accessible on the Housing Authority website at the following URL: http://www.huntsvillehousing.org.
