| What
is Public Housing? |
| |
| Low-income
public housing provides to eligible persons affordable,
safe, decent, and sanitary housing. Public housing attempts
to insure a social and economical mix of low-income residents
in order to foster social stability and upward mobility.
Eligibility requirements are determined by the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the rent of
eligible residents is based upon adjusted gross income.
